Homecoming 2026 Brought Özyeğin University Alumni Together

Reconnecting through unforgettable moments and shared memories, Homecoming 2026 brought the excitement and joy of welcoming our alumni back to campus once again.

Dedicated to strengthening the lifelong bonds within the Özyeğin University community, our annual Homecoming celebration began with the Alumni Wall Ceremony held in honor of the Class of 2025. Throughout the day, alumni, faculty, and the wider Özyeğin University community reunited once again through faculty reunions and networking events across campus.

One of the highlights of Homecoming 2026 was the panel “Trial and Error: The Most Valuable Lesson in Entrepreneurship,” moderated by Süha Soydan, Entrepreneurship Support Programs Director. During the session, Hüsnü M. Özyeğin, our Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Barış Tan, our President, Umut Ali Kal, our 2017 graduate of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, and Bahareh Vahidiansadegh, our 2022 graduate of the Graduate School of Social Sciences, shared their insights into the transformative role of experience, courage, and learning from failure in the entrepreneurial journey.

During the panel, it was also shared with our alumni that the Fundraising Scholarship Fund has been launched to support the futures of academically successful students with financial need at our university.

Our individual athletes and sports teams who achieved national and international success were also recognized during a special awards ceremony held as part of the event.

At the Homecoming 2026 Hüsnü Özyeğin gathered with alumni of the Equal Opportunity in Education Scholarship Program. Gastroshow, guests enjoyed an exquisite culinary experience with our Gastronomy and Culinary Arts alumnus Onur Dikbaş. OpenFab workshops, campus discovery tours, and the OzU Entrepreneurial Delicacies and Alumni Brands showcase added even more energy and color to the celebration.

As the day’s gatherings came to a close, the spirit of Homecoming reached its peak across campus with live performances by Gripin, Berc Polat, and Ceza.

Drawing strength from our alumni who began their journeys on our campus and have since built inspiring success stories around the world, we will continue to strengthen and carry forward the spirit of Özyeğin University with every reunion.
